Your initial consultation with Dr O’Donnell and her team is free of charge in Blackrock on Wednesdays between the hours of 11am and 1pm and in Firhouse, on Tuesdays between 11am and 12noon. You can of course attend at other times, but we have reserved these particular time slots for free consultations. Following a thorough discussion of your individual needs and objectives, you can decide if you would be a good candidate for braces.
It is a relaxed appointment and you will not be rushed. There is no need to worry about your consultation visit in advance. Nothing other than a camera and a ruler and a mirror are used to analyse your bite and smile. Once Dr O’Donnell has established what your needs are, you will receive detailed explanations on:
- the reason that treatment may be needed
- the type of treatment best suited to you
- the optimum time for beginning treatment
- the length of your treatment
- the expected appearance of your teeth when completed
- the pros and cons of the treatment
- a before and after photograph of similar cases treated in the practice.
- cost of treatment
- financing options
Dr O’Donnell will also explain the potential outcome if things are accepted in their current situation as this may well be an option for you.
